Mental Health & Wellness

The Canadian Mental Health Association – Edmonton has launched a support line for 2SLGBTQIA folks in the city. Brite Line is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and is free, confidential, and safe. To access this service call 1-844-702-7483

FREE Drop-In Single Session Counselling (DISSC) at a variety of locations throughout Edmonton provided by intern therapists. Administered and supervised by The Family Centre.

The Family Centre (TFC) provides workshops, therapy, family support services, interpretation, and translation services to foster healthy families in healthy communities.

The University of Alberta iSMSS Family Resilience Project offers free short-term counselling to LGBTQ+ children, youth, and families.

Momentum Counselling is a non-profit, walk-in agency providing support and guidance to people in need of counselling services.

The College of Alberta Psychologists regulates the profession of psychology in Alberta.

Psychiatric Support

The University of Alberta Adult Outpatient Psychiatric Clinic offers immediate psychological and psychiatric support. Walk-in only with limited intake times. Please contact the clinic for more information.

Access 24 / 7 provides a single point of access to adult addiction and mental health community-based programs. They provide a range of urgent and non-urgent addiction and mental health services including service navigation, screening, assessment, referral, consultation, crisis intervention, outreach and short term stabilization.
