Volunteer Call: Casino Event for the Pride Centre of Edmonton
🌈 Join us in supporting a space that fosters connection and care 🌈
The Pride Centre of Edmonton is excited to announce a unique opportunity for community members to come together and support our centre and the work that we do. We are organizing a casino fundraiser, and we are in need of enthusiastic volunteers to help us make this event a great success.

*Bus tickets are available for all shifts and cab fare will be provided for those leaving the Casino after midnight. The following Bus routes travel
to or near the Pure Casino: 073, 401, 404, 504.
Event Details
Location: Pure Casino – 7055 Argyll Rd NW, Edmonton, AB T6C 4A5
Shifts:
The following shifts will need to be filled for December 23 and 24, 2023:

Shift 1: 9 AM – 6:30/7 PM

Shift 2: 6:30 PM – 4 AM
-
Shift 3: 11:30 PM – 3:30/4 AM
The following shifts will need to be filled for December 25, 2023:

Shift 1: 11:15 AM – 7:30/8 PM
-
Shift 2: 7:15/30 PM – 3:15/45 AM
-
Shift 3: 11:30 PM – 3:30 AM
Volunteer Roles:
- General Manager
- Alt General Manager
- Cashiers
- Chip Runners
- Bankers
- Counters
Training:
All training will be done on-site by Casino staff prior to the start of the shift. Please arrive an hour before the start time for training to be completed.
Requirements:
- Volunteers must be 18+ years old at the time of the casino event.
- No experience necessary.
Please note: Individuals charged or convicted, within the last five years, of a criminal offence related to narcotics, acts of dishonesty, fraud, currency, gaming and betting, theft, robbery, forgery, firearms, and offensive weapons, or an indictable offense for an act of violence against a person are not eligible to volunteer.
If still under sentence for such an offence five years after conviction, approval shall not be given until completion of sentence.
The AGLC may contact the police for relevant information about the applicant. If an individual has received a pardon under the provisions of the Criminal Records Act, this policy will not apply.
